Story
Hi
I"m doing the 3 peaks challenge on 14th May - this involves climbing Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowdon - in 24hrs.
Apart from the huge personal challenge for me we're doing it for Charlotte ... Here's why :
Charlotte is from Wilmslow in Cheshire and Is 2 years old, she has a twin brother called Daniel. They were born 8 weeks prematurely and unfortunately, although Daniel has no problems, it was discovered that Charlotte had a bleed on the brain which has resulted in her having quadriplegic cerebral palsy.
Charlotte is now a bright, bubbly little girl who would dearly love to play and dance with her twin brother. He is now getting up to all sorts of mischief and Charlotte is very frustrated that I she is unable to play and join in with him.
There is an operation in the US which could help Charlotte called selective dorsal rhizotomy (SDR). This operation is available at the St Louis Hospital where Dr Park has specialised in this field for over 25 years and has been able to help thousands of children like Charlotte
Should we exceed the target amount or they cannot be used for any other reason the funds will go to the general funds of the tree of hope to assist other children.
