Story
This summer I will be volunteering in South Africa as part of Warwick in Africa! This is a teaching programme which aims to enhance the education of young people in Africa, as a direct route out of poverty. I will be teaching Maths for 6 weeks in Soweto, a township on the outskirts of Johannesburg, to disadvantaged children in a local school as part of a team of student teachers going to Ghana, South Africa and Tanzania.
So far the project has helped over 160,000 students in Africa, and it is hoped that after our visit in the summer over 200,000 will have benefited. You can read more about what a difference this charity makes here: http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/giving/priority/responsibility/wina/
Please help me to raise money for this fantastic charity so they can continue their good work!
Thank you!
Danielle :)
