There is some official blurb about Manchester Deaf Centre below, but anyone who knows me will understand why this charity is so important. It's a hub, a base and a safe space for all members of the d/Deaf community to come together and learn, celebrate or just socialise together.

Covid has hit us hard. 2021 marks the 175th Anniversary of the Deaf Centre, and we don't know if/how we will be able to celebrate this fantastic achievement yet. I'm hoping that by raising £175 for 175 years, our collective donation will help secure and improve services in the years to come.

Oh, and my fundraising activities will revolve around chocolate. Because? Why wouldn't they?!

Manchester Deaf Centre is the heart of Greater Manchester's deaf community. We are a hub for inclusion, advocacy, accessibility, support, training and information. We are proud to provide a range of services that support and empower our deaf community. We can also provide BSL/English interpreters and deliver training to increase knowledge around deaf awareness.
