I am a Ward Clerk based in Maternity services at Pinderfields Hospital. I love my job and wanted to give something back to my workplaces charity whilst also achieving a personal goal of running my first half marathon.

Keen to improve my fitness and find myself a new interest, I first started started running a couple of years ago with the help of the NHS Couch to 5K app, being barely able to run to the end of the street at the time! I now run a couple of times a week and have also participated in a few 10K's. However, it's not something that comes easy to me and running 13.1 mile is going to be a real challenge for me. I'm working really hard putting the training in so I can go the distance and although I aren't going to be beating any record times ;-)  I would be more than delighted to just be able to run the whole course without stopping! Fingers crossed!
