Dear Friends
I had the opportunity to visit the Boys Town Jerusalem School in Israel last year and have decided to raise money for this fantastic cause by holding a sponsored silence; a particularly difficult challenge for me as my friends will know!
Boys Town Jerusalem is a school to over 900 pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds. At the school pupils receive an excellent education, 3 meals a day, physical and emotional support, dorm facilities and more.
Unfortunately, many of these children cannot afford a Bar Mitzvah party, which is why I’ve decided to raise £1,000 to pay for one and ensure a boy at the school can celebrate this momentous event in his life properly, like any other child my age.
To do so, I will be silent for 24 hours on Thursday 13th December and need all the help you can give me. Please donate and help me raise the funds needed to achieve this goal. Any help will be much appreciated!
If you help me raise over £1,000 I can help more boys at the school with the following items too:
£460 – buys a boy Teffilin and Talit
£180 – buys a boy new shoes and clothes
Many thanks in advance for all your help!
Benjy
