Hello and thank you for your interest in the Dwelling Project!

We are a team formed by the Atlantic Whale Foundation (AWF) and focus on the important task of connecting conservation efforts with local communities in Vetnam as well as in Sri Lanka

Our mission is to unite conservation efforts with local communities to create a sustainable balance and make a difference that will benefit all! 

We will be doing this by  traveling  to Hanoi, Vietnam to film a documentary about the treats local tribes are facing due to the constant growth of conservation efforts. We want to focus on good as well as bad practices of conservation and evaluate changes in need to be made to create sustainable communities and Indigenous Protected areas.

We want to share knowlege with local people about their views and feelings about their current situation and come up with new ideas for future conservation efforts that suit their as well as the environments needs in able to preserve not only biodiversity but also local needs and  way of life.

 Additionally we will be raising awareness of current situations to reach as many people as possible through through fund raising events and word of mouth.

My name is Daniela and I am a Zoology student, living in London.

I am extremely passionate about Animal welfare, conservation and sustainable communities for a brighter future. Together with my co-leader Caroline (from the Sri-Lanka team), I have been working on the dwelling project to make a change and real difference to future conservation strategies and will be working alongside local tribes in Vietnam this coming summer 2012.

Before my studies, I have been actively working/volunteering in various Non-profit organisations which have given me the opportunity to travel to different destinations of the world to show me the inrcedible places that planet earth has to offer.

I want this our planet to be a balanced as it once was and therefore I am working to secure the future of our next generations, the planet and every inhabitant living on it!!! 

To do this, I would love for as many people to get involved in creating suatinable communities which will help conservation efforts, so that every living being can live their lives in harmony and tranquility!!
