Story
I am running this year’s London Marathon and will be raising money and more importantly, awareness for Meningitis Research.
On May 15th 2015, as a family we suffered the heart-breaking loss of Myles King, son to Mark & Natalie King and brother to Tristan King.
Meningitis is a terrible disease which causes devastation to families and the horror that it causes when you lose someone close, is beyond comprehension.
I was lucky enough to meet Myles and share some cuddles, on that day seeing Mark, Natalie, Tristan and Myles together as a happy and content family will always stay with me. I guess what I've been learning over the last few months is how important it is to remember those times, the happy times.
Many of you know, Mark is like a brother to me. We talk, I listen, and will continue to listen to Mark, it is the very least I can do. I know I can’t fix anything (which hurts so much) I simply commit to be there for Mark, Natalie and Tristan, it’s nothing really, I can’t take away the pain they carry, but I have to do something.
So I will do this small token and raise awareness to STOP this pain being repeated by another family and to carry Myles forward with me every step.
We will never forget Myles he will be part of our family forever. Little man we will never forget you x
Running in memory of Myles King 23/3/15 – 15/5/15
