Dan Mansfield, Michael Thomas, Andy Fulton, James Mackenzie, James Cotterill, Dave Wilkinson, Jason Wells and Alex Hall have agreed to put their bodies on the line on July 7th by participating in the 2012 Football Marathon.

This will be a long, gruelling 12 solid hours of non-stop 6 a side football, with each player expected to run approximately 40km! This will be a challenge for our team, who have run about 40km between us since the start of 2012 (at time of writing).

We are doing this event in aid of Tackle Africa, a charity that educates the young people of sub-Saharan Africa on the dangers of HIV Aids through the medium of football. Every member of our team has experienced how powerful football can be in helping young people and so were all very willing to help raise money for Tackle Africa by putting our bodies on the line. We hope that you are able to contribute to help us achieve our fundraising target with any amount that you can spare for this great cause.
