Well what can I say, I have decided to embark on a transatlantic crossing on a 40ft sail boat to cross the mighty Atlantic Ocean in November . The expedition is entirely self funded so all proceeds raised will be donated to my chosen charity Children on the Edge (childrenontheedge.org).  

My chosen charity Children on the Edge is close to our hearts and by undertaking this challenge I hope to raise as much awareness (and proceeds) as possible. All of the people and volunteers at the charity do so much for the young children who are far less privileged that our own including transforming slum communities in Uganda to providing education for Syrian refugees and so so much more!

The event will take place in November and will start from the Canary Islands before setting off for the destination of Rodney Bay, St Lucia.  It will take approximately three weeks (with fair winds and tide) and hopefully i will be back for Christmas. There will be a rigorous watch system of 3 on and 3 (and a dry boat!) off for the entire duration and it is sure to be a grueling mental and physical challenge. There will be laughs and probably tears at the end and I will be posting updates and video logs throughout 

Any donation of any size will be truly welcomed and will make such a difference to the lives of the young children less privileged than our own throughout the world.
