What?     ...      Two Half-Marathons

When?   ...      Sunday 21st March and Sunday 2nd May

Where?  ...      Reading and Exeter

Who?     ...      The old denefield one-two: Dan Lock and Will Mitchell

For?       ...       Cancer Research UK

 

Its that time again. Months of rigorous, at times militaristic, training down the Weatherspoons, that must be a typo, i meant roads of exeter, and the boys are ready to don the old running shorts and trainers once again.

This year we have chosen to run in aid of Cancer Research UK. Like many other people, our lives have been affected by cancer, with 4 of our collective grandparents having to have battled the disease. Through their work as the world's leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research, Cancer Research UK has saved thousands of people who can now spend time with their loved ones.

This year its a little different. We didnt think it was enough to struggle and sweat along the roads of one city so ... we're gracing Exeter too. And to make it interesting, we've set some targets.

          1. Back on the streets of our hometown: 

              A combined running time of 3 hours 30mins ( 1:45:00 each)

          2. In the EX (with some great optimism on our part...):

              A combined time of 3 hours 15mins ( 1:37:00 each)

Failure to meet these targets will result in:

          1. For every minute we do not meet our combined target, we shall donate an extra £2 each, i.e a total of £4 each minute we are over. 

          2. We open up the other consequence to you, all suggestions welcome to either of us or on the donation page!

Of course we want to make it fun but ultimately we need your help to make a difference. Every donation, no matter how small, goes a long way. Cancer Research is an absolutely fantastic cause and one for which we are proud to run. So please make a pledge, we welcome all support and hope to see some of you out in the crowd!
