Well, what a few years it's been - Covid was but a twinkle in the eye when I first found out I was going to be running the London Marathon and sadly our dear Sweety has passed away back in summer last year. Although I did successfully run the virtual marathon in 2020, Cats Protection have ensured that I'm still able to do the real thing and my resolve to complete it is as strong as ever!

So, it's back to raising funds and awareness for Cat's Protection - I've left my original story below, but am hoping to be more proactive with updates and fundraising ideas in the new year.

Hey and thanks for coming to visit my page! So, after years of trying I'm finally going to be able to achieve a dream of mine and run the London marathon! It's a big challenge, my biggest yet and one that I don't take lightly and hope that you'll support me as I aim to get run ready over the next few months!

I'm able to run thanks to Cats Protection, the charity that I'll be running to raise awareness and sponsorship for. They haven't only allowed me a great opportunity to run in one of the worlds most coveted marathons, but they're also responsible for my fur baby, Sweety, coming into my life. She's my first pet, and I couldn't have asked for a more affectionate, chatty and personable companion. Sweety is a rescue cat, so without the care and attention provided by the Cats Protection North London Adoption Centre, may have had a very different life. Sweety has given me a great deal, so I'd like to give something back to the great charity that looked after her until she came into my life. 

I'll be trying to be more active and vocal than with my previous runs, updating on my progress, the great work that Cat's Protection do and the various other fundraising activities I'll be undertaking to help reach that lofty goal.

I'm relishing this challenge, and hope you'll join me on this journey!
