Hey there,

My good friend Geoff Morey and I have taken on the challenge of attempting to summit the 3 tallest peaks in Scotland, Wales and England all in 24 hours, with little rest and no sleep. We are doing this for the charity Beating Bowel Cancer.

So why did we choose this challenge and this charity?

Over the past year, although I have not directly been effected by cancer, I know people who have. The main reason is because earlier this year a friend died after an extremely short battle with stomach cancer. This highlighted to me what a vicious disease cancer is and that it can strike so quickly and so arbitrarily. Also, last year my Grandmother was diagnosed and treated for bowel cancer, and although she was fortunate and is making a great recovery, many people are not so lucky.

So I decided it was about time to get of my arse and actually do something to help. I also realised that life can be pretty short and we need to make the most of it whilst we're here, hence the challenge chosen.
