We help people get the support they need to stay safe from suicide

Story

Dan Jenkins sadly passed away on the 10th of April 2016. Throughout his life he struggled with anxiety disorder and depression, these issues became too much over time and sadly he claimed his own life. He would often give counsel and support to friends and loved ones during times of stress, and had started studying psychology in the hopes of becoming a professional therapist to help those in need.

Grassroots Suicide Prevention aims to raise awareness about suicide and mental health, provide training to public and professionals in intervention and prevention, and help those struggling with mental health issues.

About the charity

We work to make sure nobody has to experience thoughts of suicide alone. We fight dangerous stigma that stops people talking about suicide. We teach communities to recognise and support those at risk. We develop new ways for people to get lifesaving support. Together, we can prevent suicide.
