Story
I'm doing that half-marathon that I did last year again. Only unlike last year, I'm not signing up for it 12 days before the actual run and doing it pure lunatic. I'll be doing it like I did the full marathon back in 2000 - progressive training, healthy diet, only one night a week on the lash and, hopefully, without any sciatica injuries.
It's two months from today (27th July), at time of writing I'm up to 7 miles in 57 mins so I am well on the way to not only running it, but much, much faster than I did last year (I hobbled over the line in 1h56m, this time I'm after sub 1h40m).
I'm not gonna badger anyone to donate dosh to fund my day out, especially people who sponsored me last year. The charity is the same one I ran for last year, Helen & Douglas who look after terminally ill children and trying to make their last days special.
I have to raise £200 to get my place in the run, if you like the idea of my legs breaking in agony then feel free to chip in and help make it happen.
Cheers,
Curley
