Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Damyantiben Chimanbhai Jariwala passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday 8th June 2020.
Our beautiful Grandmother was a charismatic character who was kind and generous. She had a lovely smile that lit up when she was around her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to talk and tell us stories about her past and present! She was strong-headed and stubborn, she wasn’t afraid to tell you what she thought but she was gentle, independent and courageous.
She was a well known and respected member of the community with many friends that she would often visit and go for walks with.
She will be missed by so many family and friends and those that knew her.
Just last month, we were able to share and celebrate her 88th birthday with her and feel blessed to have been able to connect her via Zoom with family across the world.
In honour of her memory, we would like to help raise awareness for liver failure, liver cirrhosis and liver conditions as this was an underlying symptom she had.
Cirrhosis is a condition in which the liver does not function properly due to long-term damage. Typically, the disease comes on slowly over months or years. Early on, there are often no symptoms. As the disease worsens, a person may become tired, weak, itchy, have swelling in the lower legs, develop yellow skin, bruise easily, have fluid build up in the abdomen, or develop spider-like blood vessels on the skin.
Due to Covid there will be restrictions with her funeral service and many of you will be unable to attend, so in her memory we ask if you can make a small donation instead.
Thank you from all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jai Shri Krishna. 🙏
