Dalziel & Pow are once again taking part in the Standard Chartered Great City Race and this year we’re raising money for DEBRA. There are 25 of us running in this year’s 5K taking place on Thursday 14th July. We’re trying to raise £1,500 for this great charity and we would greatly appreciate your sponsorship and support.

DEBRA is a charity for a disease called Epidermolysis bullosa.  Epidermolysis bullosa is a terrible disease. There's no cure, so DEBRA's main function is care and support for those with the disease.

Epidermolysis bullosa causes skin to blister, a lot - in simple terms, the top layer of skin doesn't attach to the one underneath and any friction, even clothing can cause blistering.  There are three main types of EB. EB Simplex (EBS), Dystrophic EB (DEB) and Junctional EB (JEB). And within this are different levels of severity.  For many it's a lifelong battle which requires constant support.
