Story

Hi guys

So myself and Dale finally decided to bite the bullett and enter the Bristol 10k. As it's both of ours first time running any sort of distance or race this is a real personal challange to us.

We decided we should direct our efforts into raising money for a cause which may get lost to some bigger charities in most people's minds when donating to charity, but whos work makes an important difference to many people affected by this debilitating chronic disease. It is also a personal decision made by us both to raise money for the rheumatoid arthritis society as Dale has personal experience of how the disease can impact on a persons life with his mother being affected from a young age. I myself studying medicine also realise the need for extra funding to continue the development of further treatments, as options at the moment are limited and for some people are not enough to halt the disease progression. With this ever changing field of medicine there is a real possiblity that new drugs can be developed which could make a difference to people's quality of life.

We appreciate any help you can give to this cause however little. Every penny makes a difference.

Thanks, Nikki and Dale x
