Story

Thank you for visiting my page! I'm raising money for Friends of ANCHOR - a fantastic cancer charity that has supported me through my experience of Hodgkin's lymphoma. In summer 2022 I found a lump on my neck while in the shower. I was given four cycles of chemotherapy over four months, and was very fortunate to receive the all clear in March 2023.

I'm taking part in Brave 2023, which will see 24 North-East cancer patients take to the catwalk at Aberdeen's Beach Ballroom for two exciting nights in May. We're raising as much money as we can for The ANCHOR Centre at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The outpatient department will move into a purpose-built facility, The ANCHOR Centre. It will adjoin the radiotherapy department to bring all out and day patient services together under one roof.

The ANCHORED Together appeal will raise money to bring benefits over and above the NHS investment into the facility, to ensure it's a leading centre for patients.

Every penny of your donation will go towards the ANCHORED Together appeal; the charity's commitment to raise £2million for additional extras within The ANCHOR Centre, which is currently under construction and due to open this year.

All of Friends of ANCHOR's overheads are covered by local company Balmoral Group, so you can rest assured that 100% of your donation will do great work.

Thank you so much for your support and donation! :) It really does mean a lot.

Best wishes,

Dale x
