Kate Roberts a partner at DTM Legal, is cycling from London to Amsterdam to raise money for our chosen charity. Kate will cover approximately 360 miles!

The challenge will take place from 6th June until the 10th June.*

To support Kate on her charity cycle, the firm will match the number of miles cycled by Kate in DTM's offices based in Chester and Liverpool.

We are delighted to announce that our chosen charity for this financial year will be Alder Hey Children’s Charity.

Alder Hey Children’s Charity provides vital funds to help Alder Hey in the Park make a crucial difference to the 270,000 patients and families who visit the hospital every year.

The charity has a special place in many of our hearts with many of the team’s relatives benefitting from the excellent care and support that the hospital provides.

Alder Hey is one of Europe’s busiest children’s hospitals, providing a broad range of hospital and community services.

The average stay at Alder Hey is 3 days but some of the patients are there for many years.

Here are just some of the examples of how our fundraising will make a
difference:

• £5 will buy five packs of crayons (22,000 crayons a year are given to children to entertain them whilst in A&E)
• £50 will buy ten children’s books
• £500 will buy arts and crafts materials to be used as distraction therapy whilst treating young cancer patients with chemotherapy
• £1000 will buy one Apnoea Monitor which is a specifically designed mattress to detect when a baby has stopped breathing
• £2000 will buy one wheelchair. This allows children to be released earlier from hospital and helps with the transition back to normal life and the ability to attend school
