Story
Over 14,000 people every year are treated for cancer at University College Hospital, and this number is rising annually. Our patients (including children and teenagers) come from across the UK though mostly from London, Hertfordshire and Essex to receive some of the most advanced cancer treatment the NHS has to offer.
The Cancer Fund supports cancer care services over and above what our NHS is able to fund. This includes, departmental refurbishments, the purchasing of medical equipment, and staff support and training. Only last week the Cancer Fund were able to install Wi-Fi onto our children’s cancer ward allowing them to watch shows, play games and keep in touch with loved ones🥰
