We are running the 2020 Los Angeles Marathon to support underserved children with a love of reading, thereby enriching their lives and opportunities for success.

Story

It's that time again! For the second year in a row I am running for Reading to Kids. Reading to Kids is an organization that helps promote literacy for underserved public elementary schools and communities in the downtown Los Angeles area by holding monthly reading clubs and donating books to school libraries.

As a former teacher, I am very passionate about this cause and on top of volunteering, have decided to run the 2020 marathon to help. AND YOU CAN HELP, TOO!

Any amount will help, and if you donate just a dollar per mile that I run,(I will definitely finish this race), that's only $26!

About the charity

Reading to Kids holds reading clubs on the 2nd Saturday of every month at 8 Los Angeles elementary schools. At the monthly reading clubs, pairs of volunteers read aloud to small groups of children. Kids, parents, teachers, & school libraries receive book donations at the end of the reading clubs.
