Story
In 2011 Dad fell ill suffering from Hepatitis C. After a year of treatment this was eventually cured, and for 6 years Dad lived as healthy a lifestyle as possible making sure to follow doctor's orders.
However, in November of 2017 after a check up, he was diagnosed with liver cancer. In December he had surgery, an ablation to the tumour, and in February 2018 we received confirmation the ablation had been a success.
Unfortunately in May he felt unwell and a mass was found in his abdomen area, we were waiting for test results that came after he passed showing the liver cancer had spread.
Even though we knew Dad was unwell, as the doctors were unsure - we didn't have confirmation of what he was suffering from, and really didn’t expect him to deteriorate so quickly, so his passing has come as a massive shock.
For Dad's funeral, we'd love it if those who want to share their condolences could make a donation to Cancer Research UK rather than bring flowers, as we'd like to try and help others going through a similar experience and get closer to a cure.
