Story
Before this COVID thing, I hated running. I never understood why you'd run on your own when you could play 90 minutes of football with your mates. Now, instead of Euro 2020 kicking off and me spending all my time either in pubs across London watching games or on pitches with my teammates at Dulwich Hamlet, I'm aiming to run 200km before July 12th (what would have been the Euros final) and raise £200 to support FBB's Virtual School.
The team at FBB have been working tirelessly to support at risk young people across the UK during lockdown. Whether that be dropping football's at their door or providing ongoing virtual therapy and academic support, they've gone to enormous lengths to keep young people happy, healthy and engaged in learning.
The FBB Virtual School provides weekly academic coaching, 1 to 1 therapeutic support and inspiring creative projects for over 350 young people. It has now been running successfully for almost two months. Young people in FBB will not be returning to a normal school routine until September at the earliest, and we want to continue providing this vital support over the Summer.
