This is a very difficult message for me to write.....and It is with deep regret that I am having to set up this page…..but here goes!! 😭

On Friday the 3rd of September 2021 My family & I were hit with the heartbreaking & devastating news that I had been Diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. Multiple Myeloma is a Bone Marrow Cancer that has no Cure, although it can be treated for an unknown period of time. 

Each year in the UK, approximately 5,700 people are diagnosed with Myeloma.

Hence my reason for wanting to raise some money. 😞

As you can imagine it has absolutely devastated not only myself but my wife Helen, Sam my son, my Parents, family & close friends. Telling everyone was by far the hardest thing I have ever had to do. My treatment which includes Chemotherapy commenced on the 13th October 2021 and will continue for a minimum of 4 month, if successful then a Bone Marrow Transplant may be possible? This is all very new to us & even I admit a little scary, but I am determined to fight this all the way. 🥊

I have been feeling sad & trying to get my head around everything for the last 4-6 weeks and have finally decided to get off my arse & do something positive. I am hoping to raise both Money & awareness to this disease to help fund treatment for both current & future patients. I don’t care if you only donate just £1, at the end of the day it is £1 more than I have at the start. I totally understand that things are difficult for some people  in the current climate so every Donation, No matter how small will be greatly appreciated by not only myself but many others. 

So the fundraising in 2022 was a success & to start 2023 my Friend Mat Wilkinson is running the Lyme Park Half Marathon on July 2nd. Please support him in his efforts to raise more money for my Charity fundraiser.
