Thank you for visiting our Maudslay Lorry Appeal Page
Coventry Transport Museum needs your help to complete a major restoration project on the only surviving Maudslay Lorry from the First World War.
Since 2007, the Friends of Coventry Transport Museum and the museum curators have been working on the restoration and re-build of this 1916 Coventry built Maudslay Lorry.
Acquired by the museum as an unrestored lorry chassis after years of use as a showman's caravan (see picture below), the Lorry is gradually coming back to life and will be going on the road to support commemoration events for the Centenary of the First World War in 2014. To follow the restoration process please visit: http://covtm.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/Maudsley
Please help us to raise the final £5,000 needed to complete the restoration project and to pay for the maintenance and care to keep her on the road as she makes guest appearances during the WW1 commemorations.
Thank you for your support
NB: In the event that a gift becomes surplus to the Maudslay Lorry Appeal, the Trustees will apply the proceeds for the conservation and care of the collections at Coventry Transport Museum in accordance with the regulations of the Charity Commission
