In September 2011, eight people from Crown Oil are going to attempt to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro.
Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and fourth highest of the Seven Summits. At its highest point, it rises to an altitude of 5,895m or 19,341 ft. The climb will take seven days to complete with some days spent walking for up to 15 hours.
They are doing this in the name of charity. MedEquip4Kids is a children’s charity raising money to provide paediatric medical equipment and facilities for hospitals and community health teams. Their aim is to help ensure babies, children and teenagers receive the best possible care when sick or injured.
Crown Oil is trying to raise £10,000. With your help this will enable MedEquip4Kids to purchase Multisensory Room Equipment for the Royal Bolton Hospital which will help predominantly children with special needs and children with profound disabilities. Money raised will also help to buy 3 Saturation Monitors for the Bury Children's Nursing Team. Each piece of equipment will allow up to 18 children per year leave hospital earlier to be with their families.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thank you, Crown Oil
