Story
CrossReach Week 2012 is from 26th to 31st August 2012.
During the week a varity of events will both highlight the work of CrossReach (The Social Care Council of the Church of Scotland) and aim to raise £100,000 for CrossReach's work.
One of the many highlights of the week is the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland giving a week of his time travelling around Scotland to champion our first ever ‘CrossReach Week’. Throughout the week Rt. Rev. Albert Bogle will take part in a number of profile raising and fundraising events, including a challenge to criss-cross the country by plane, train, boat and car visiting CrossReach services along the way.
The fundraising challenge of the week is to raise £100,000 for CrossReach funds.
As several CrossReach services receive no Government funding from National, Scottish or Local Authority they rely on voluntary donations. These services are; Simpson House, Sunflower Garden, Post Natal Depresion Service, Counselling Support and Training Service and Perth Prison Visitors Support and Advice Centre. Your donation to CrossReach Week will help these essential services make a real difference to the lives of the people who come to them for help and support.
CrossReach Week is being sponsored by Gillespie Macandrew, Alloa Community Enterprises Ltd, Hopetoun House Preservation Trust. and Western Volkswagon. This means all of your donation will go to help the CrossReach services.
