So, Alex and Steve are participating in the Maidstone to Monaco rally across Europe, to raise money to build another pre-school in post conflict East Africa. Not only will this provide the first steps in an education for children facing the gravest poverty, it will also provide them with clean drinking water and at least one good meal a day.
Parenta Trust aims to support the very youngest children in East Africa by providing them with a quality pre-school education.
The next Parenta Trust Rally will take place on 21st – 25th June 2017. For those that haven’t heard much about the event before, this is a car rally which starts at Parenta HQ in Maidstone and finishes 5 days later in Monaco, having travelled through 8 countries!
In 2013, when the Parenta Trust was created, the pledge was to build 10 pre-schools for orphaned and disadvantaged children in Africa. No matter where a child is in the world, they deserve the opportunity to go to school and learn in a loving and safe environment.
Each nursery school built can accommodate between 140-250 infants. To promote healthy living we always include latrines and a rain water collection system as standard!
The impact the schools have had so far on the local community is incredibly positive and far-reaching; providing a means for children to break out of the cycle of poverty and look forward to a much brighter future.
None of this is possible without your help, and the Parenta Trust Rally provides a vital means of fundraising for our schools.
We're taking part in a Classic mini (yes - a couple of thousand miles in a classic mini) to have the full Italian Job and 1960s Monte Carlo Rally experience.
Every penny collected will go directly to the charity, so if you would like to sponsor us and support this very worthwhile cause, we would be extremely grateful.
Many thanks in advance for your support
