Story
On the 30th May 2021 my mum sadly passed away after a short battle with cancer.
In her final days she was cared for by the amazing team at St Andrews Hospice. They did everything they could to make my mum as comfortable as possible and make those last few days as pain free as they could.
My mum was an amazing woman who dedicated her life to caring for other people. Before becoming ill herself she was a palliative care worker, who attended the homes of others. She made sure that not only the patient but their loved ones were comfortable and offered a supporting ear to anyone in need.
This has brought me to my journey now - I am not able to go out and look after people myself, but maybe I can make a difference by raising some money to help fund the hospice that took such good care of her and my family when we were in need.
I am aiming to raise £1000 (due to overwhelming generosity this has been increased to £2500) for St Andrew's Hospice by running a trail marathon around the North Yorkshire Moors on 25th September.
Any donation is gratefully received, or if you aren't able to then please consider sharing to your networks.
Thank you, Craig
