Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in aid of Teenager Cancer Trust.
Whilst we all look to support charities in these times, my reason for supporting TCT does have a story because whilst I lost my dad to cancer when he was only 59, he kept saying, despite his own trauma, how tough it must be for young people who face the same challenges he and our family went through.
Even with family and health professionals around them, young people facing cancer find themselves feeling isolated, scared and alone and so TCT really helps and I am sure we can all empathise with how that would feel if it affected our own children. TCT are dedicated to making sure every young person facing cancer gets specialised nursing care and support at the toughest of times.
As one young girl – Eliza - said to me ‘cancer strips you of your adolescence, TCT enables you to still feel like a teenager’ a tough message when more than 2,000 young people aged 13-24 are diagnosed with cancer in the UK every year
Therefore, I hope you will support this charity throughout the next 12 months in various events that are organised including my captain/pro challenge and Captain/lady captains matches as well as the introduction of some captain/vice-captain matches.
Many thanks for your support, Craig
