Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have decided to try and tackle the London Surrey 100!!– for those who don’t know, it is a 100 mile bike race/ride that starts at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London and then follows a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside with leg-testing climbs, eventually heading back into London and finishing on The Mall
I am doing the event to try and raise money and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK who have invested millions of pounds into research, services and awareness over the last 10 years. They provide services to men and their families in the form of specialist nurses, one to one support and information leaflets etc
I have chosen this particular charity because currently both my grandfathers have prostate cancer and are on daily medication and I want to try and contribute to fight against cancer.
I have set the page up now as it will take a lot of training and hard work to be able to cycle 100 miles – so I will be posting updates as I go along! I have been cycling for just over a year now on the roads but the furthest I have gone is 50 miles, so this is a whole different level!
Feel free to donate any amount as it will all help go towards this great charity!
