Story
On Friday 1st January my beautiful sister Zoe Hogan was taken ill with Meningitis Streptococcal B Bacterial Infection and Septicaemia which also led to multiple organ failure.
Sadly Zoe passed away on 4th January.
Zoe was a fit and healthy, 35yr old mother of two girls, aged 6 and 9yrs old. She was a kind, generous, and happy person who would go out of her way to help others, even those that she did not know.
In honour of Zoe and the smiles and happiness she brought to the world, a group of us have decided to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in October 2010.
My target is to raise a minimum of £3600, but collectively we need to raise £43200. Please help us in the memory of Zoe so that we can continue to help others.
Meningitis and Septicaemia are deadly diseases that can kill in hours.
Meningitis is the inflammation of the lining around the brain and spinal cord.
Septicaemia is the blood poisoning form of the disease.
