I am a YouTuber, blogger, Singer/Songwriter from Surrey, with the stage name 'Vanessa René'.

After being admin for the #GetYourBellyOut campaign for nearly 2 years, Sahara Fleetwood -Beresford and I joined forces to launch @IBDSuperHeroes.
Our team members include Lisa Cummins, Roger Pasfield, Stephen Gomm, Lee Kelly, AJ Mooney and Kelly Pasfield.

MY STORY:
When I was 17 I was finally diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. This is a form of IBD. (Inflammatory Bowel Disease)

When I was 20,  I had to have my large intestine/colon removed and they made a Jpouch using part of the remaining small bowel.

I have had more surgery in December 2014 to remove my fallopian tubes as they were also attached to my jpouch. This was unsuccessful and in December 2015 I had further open surgery. Luckily there was no damage to my bowel and this was to increase IVF success due to a condition called Hydrosalphinx caused from fluid and blocked tubes from bowel surgery

Thankfully IBD hasn't beaten me and I am expecting my first child in January 2017
