Story

Hello, thanks for having a look in.  I hope you will support me in my challenge.

My daughter, Katherine, and I have decided to take part in this challenge as a great way to raise money for Macmillans.  I've chosen Macmillans because they were there for me and my husband, Sav, when his mum was dying of cervical cancer.  Now we are facing another challenge as Sav has lung cancer and Macmillans are one of the few groups who have helped us with real practical help.

I like walking, but.....100km?  Whaaat! Are you mad? is one of the more printable comments I have received.  Well, I'm not getting any younger and I want to really challenge myself at least once in my life, so this is it.  We're calling ourselves The Hounslow Harriers - for anyone who has watched Bend it like Beckham it's not because we play football (or know anything about it!) - but just because we are from Hounslow (and it's really hard thinking up a team name!).

Please help me to make it all worthwhile.
