Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me so far, you have all been incredibly generous and supportive! I have been overwhelmed by the amount of money I have raised, thank you all so much.

The Race has taken place and it was a very stressful but amazing day. I ended up being nudged into 3rd place by my daughter Charlotte who came 2nd by a whisker. A perfect end to a wonderful experience! I am super happy that all our hard work and training came to fruition on the day. Peter did a fantastic job of preparing us for the race and I am so pleased that we didn't let him down.

I have had the most amazing time but it hasn't been easy, I am running everyday, riding the racehorses and riding my dressage horses just to get fit enough for this race! I keep telling my trainer that I am trying my best and that is all I can do, I just hope my best is good enough! We have raced the horses around the all-weather track at Kempton Park Racecourse twice in the last few weeks. Both were amazing experiences, scary but fantastic, and a taste of real racing ! How lucky am I to have this opportunity? I owe so much to my horse and my trainer.

The bond I am developing with my racehorse Victor is growing by the day. He is a little quirky and needs understanding but that is why I absolutely love him. I really miss him on the days when I am not going to the racing stables to ride him. He really knows his job and it has been a priviledge to ride him.

The last word remains for my trainer Peter Hedger who is a Top Man. I can't thank him enough for all his training, support and wisdom.

I only have a few days left to train and to raise money for this very worthy cause so pIease please donate whatever you can to help me reach and hopefully exceed my target.

I am taking part in a horse race to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity. It will be taking place at Fontwell Park on October 27th. I will be riding a 4 year old race horse and wearing real racing silks.I have been training 3 times a week at a local racing yard and I must admit this is one of the most challenging things I have done. I have to be super fit to do this and my body aches every day! But it is also the most exhilarating and frightening experience. Pure adrenaline!
