Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hello, my name is Cora and I would really like to become a professional actor when I’m older. I’ve been attending drama classes at the Garrick Theatre in Stockport (in person when possible and on Zoom in lockdown) since February 2020.
Stockport Garrick Theatre is a charitable organisation which was founded in 1901 and in 1904 obtained its own premises in Cobden Place, Wellington Street, Stockport. It is the oldest "little theatre" in the United Kingdom and the Garrick put on performances throughout the year.
During the past year the Garrick, like may theatres, has really suffered due to loss of income as a result of Covid-19. As I love acting and theatre, I really want to do something to help raise money, so I have set myself the challenge of walking 300 miles in 3 months to try and raise £300! The Garrick also needs funds to furnish and install lighting and sound equipment so maybe I can help with this too!
Any support you can give me, however small, would be very much appreciated!
You can follow my journey on the JustGiving page, where I will be uploading weekly photos of some of my walks! There will also be updates on the Garrick Theatre’s FaceBook page.
Thank you very much, Cora
