Story
So, a little while ago my friend Kelly (hi, Kelly) asked me if I wanted to run the Windsor Half Marathon with her. I decided that yes, I would, despite only having fallen in love with running literally some months ago. I love exercise, but I've never done anything "serious" like this before, so I saw the half marathon as my new fitness challenge.
Then, when it came to choosing a charity to run for, I was a bit confused. At first I thought, "It doesn't matter who I give to - all charity is good", but then I decided to run independently for the MS Society.
The reason? My dad was diagnosed with MS last year.
MS (Multiple Sclerosis) is a condition of the central nervous system, which affects the brain and spinal cord. It causes problems with muscle movement, balance and vision.
Once you are diagnosed with MS, you have it for life. There are treatments to help you control your MS, but as such, there is no cure for it. The MS society is one of many MS charities that funds the vital research for this condition, which is why I want to donate money to them.
I only 'learnt' how to run a few months ago, but I am determined to do this half marathon without falling on my arse.
It would mean a lot to me if you sponsored me.
Thank you. :)
PS: I will even upload the worst photos of myself, post-training, for your amusement if you sponsor me.
