Story
We frequently run the trails of North Wales and Cheshire most weekends and enjoy all forms of running. We wanted to take ourselves into an unknown territory and challenge ourselves in doing a 50 mile run in the Yorkshire Dales National Park with nearly 3000 meters of elevation on May 6th. This is going to take up to 12 hours, and I am sure there will be some dark moments along the way.
Also, as part of the build to Yorkshire, we will also be running The Paris Marathon in April.
On one of our many long runs, we decided it would be great to raise some money in this process for a fantastic cause and to give us that little bit of extra motivation during our training and events.
Severn Hospice supports families from the moment they're referred and they do this every day for people in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales who needs the help.
Our donations will help this facility do its amazing work. Severn Hospice runs solely on donations, and we are asking you to help bring some joy and comfort to people who are at the end of life.
They were excellent with Connor's Aunty (Julie) in the later stages of her life, and we want to take this opportunity to pay a little back the this wonderful charity to thank them for the work they do.
For every £1 you donate, the hospice will spend 88p directly on care – and use the remaining 12p to make another £1. Last year, all those individual donations meant the hospice could be there when it mattered for 3,000 local families, Connor's included.
