Dublin Marathon · 29 October 2017 ·

We fund research and provide support to children and adults affected by cancer

Story

On the 29th October, Colm, Mark and Robbie will be running the 42kms of the SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon 2017 in order to support and raise vital funds for the Irish Cancer Society.

On the 30th September, Colm also participated in a 30km hike across the Wicklow Way.

The Murex Dublin charity of choice for 2017 is the Irish Cancer Society.

We all know family, friends or acquaintances who have struggled with the life changing impacts of cancer. By taking a few small steps (well maybe closer to 50,000!), I hope we can raise awareness and support for the services provided by the Irish Cancer Society.

By 2020, 1 in 2 of us will receive a cancer diagnosis in our lifetime. The Irish Cancer Society is working to stop this. By investing in cancer research and providing care and support to people affected by cancer, the Irish Cancer Society is stopping cancer in its tracks. Through research we are finding out more and more about how to diagnose, treat and how to stop cancer before its starts. By providing information, advice and support we are supporting people through their cancer experience and helping to reduce the fear of a cancer diagnosis. Read more about what we do.

Thank you for your support.
