Story
The Collier County Sheriff's Office is proud to participate in Clips for Cancer. The event holds a special meaning for us this year, as one of the Golisano Children's Hospital patients is a member of our CCSO family. Eleven-year-old Dominick Nino has a rare form of leukemia. He has been undergoing aggressive treatment with his parents by his side since he was diagnosed in January. His father, Christian Nino, is a certified deputy who is assigned to our Finance Bureau. Please join us in supporting Dominick and all of the kids battling cancer.
From Cpl. Mike Williams - "This is a fantastic event for a great cause. Anything we can do to bring awareness and support to these deserving kids is time well spent. This year 11-year old Dominick Nino is among the patients we are supporting. Dominick is battling a rare form of leukemia and he is part of our CCSO family."
From Sgt. Teddy Melendez - "I am looking forward to participating in this event to bring awareness to the cause of pediatric cancer and to help all of the patients at Golisano. This year has special meaning for all of us at the Collier County Sheriff's Office because 11-year old Golisano patient Dominick Nino is part of our CCSO family. Dominick is battling a rare form of leukemia. I know him through his father, Christian Nino, who has been a close friend for over sixteen years."
For the past 26 years, Barbara's Friends has helped over 10,000 local SWFL kids with cancer and blood disorders from infancy to age 30. This year alone more than 25 local children have been told they have cancer. Last year 70 children were diagnosed. The numbers are up. More families need your help. Please support our Shavee's by making a donation and share with our friends and family to make a difference in our community. Cancer doesn't care who, when or where. WE DO!
