Story

The aim is simple: spend a night challenging yourself to sleep rough, raising money to help change the lives of vulnerable young people. All the money you raise goes directly to support our accommodation services in Peterborough.

Tomorrow night i shall be sleeping rough.... again.... but this time through choice, 11 years ago when i was 17 i was homeless, literally sleeping in doorways, (no i wasnt on drugs and didnt drink, well except a can of john smiths on my 18th birthday )

I "lived" like this for nearly 2 years, i approached 7 different councils all around the country, not 1 would help me, not even when i was hospitalised for 2 weeks... and not for the first time for kidney infections from lack of access to water.

The only ones that helped me and many others were the charities out there, that have to fundraise to keep going.

It has taken me several days to pluck up the courage to do this again, it is freezing cold outside here in the UK, but all over the country, all over the world the homeless are going unnoticed and ignored, and i need to help by doing my bit.

I'm not rich, I'm a stay at home mum, I've forgone phone credit this month to pledge my last £10 to do this event.

So please if you just have £/$/€1 to spare please please donate to this amazing charity that quite literally keep people alive... trust me i know from experience.
