Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Colin's JustGiving page.

This page is in memory of Colin Timney, who died in October this year. He believed deeply in the drug trial work undertaken by CTRT, and was always keen to promote fund raising activities. Colin was lucky to get on a drug trial which gave him more years to plan work on the house and garden and spend more time doing what he loved best..being with us all, swopping stories and fixing our problems.

One of Colin's proudest moments was attending a meeting at NICE to discuss the licensing of the drug treatment he was on for use in the NHS. He was the Patient Expert, and certainly had over the years became an expert patient. This summer, Axitinib and Avolumab got approved for use in the NHS.

Colin received amazing care from the team at Mount Vernon, headed by Dr Paul Nathan. He would love to keep the work of the team going, so they can keep extending the lives of people with cancer. Please join us to help others have the time to do what Colin loved best, being with friends and family.
