Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have decided to take part in the BUPA Great North Run, September 19th in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital.

I have a personal connection to the hospital as my sister spent much of her young life in and out of the hospital, and felt this was a great way of giving something back.

Parts of the hospital at present have cramped rooms and outdated wards and so is undergoing a redevelopment programme. Part of the redevelopment programme will allow parents to sleep alongside their child whilst staying in hospital in greater comfort and space. They also plan to increase the size of the hospital by two thirds will which will increase the ammount of patients the staff can treat by 20%.

The dedication and devotion all the staff give to the children and their families at Great Ormond Street Hospital is truly amazing.
