Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s 3 posties doing a 12,000 ft Skydive!
Chris Stott, Colin Doyle & Sam Bennett from Royal Mail, Hove are raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
We have been inspired to do this crazy stunt to raise money after learning of a local teenager’s battle with Cancer. Please read Beth’s story below and dig deep!
My name is Beth Ansell, I’m 17 and I have a rare type of cancer called ewings sarcoma. I have a 16cm tumour attached to my kidney which then spread to my hips and pelvis. I have had 12 cycles of chemo, 5 weeks of radiotherapy and will be having an operation soon to attempt to remove my tumour. I will then have 2 more cycles of chemo, maybe more depending on the success of my operation. Then ill have a hip replacement as the radiotherapy weakened my hip so much that it broke it.
Beth has recently been chosen to be the ambassador of the teenage cancer trust for East Sussex. Teenage Cancer Trust aims to build enough units so that by 2012, every teenager in the UK will have access to the specialist support they provide.
