Our son Ben Cornett joined the Royal Engineers straight from school at 16. He did his basic training at Bassingbourne, Hertfordshire and then moved to Chatham, Kent where he learnt his trade as a Fabricator and Welder. He has also done his training in being a bomb searcher. He is now at his Regiment in Saffron Walden.

Ben has loved every minute of his time in the Army, even though at times it has been tough, but Ben is very competitive and loves to be the best!

As we do this walk he will be doing further training in Kenya for 6 weeks, this will be his first time away.

Please give anything that you can afford. Everything, no matter how small will count. Hopefully it will not be Ben who needs it.
