Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On the 16th April 2011 I completely smashed my left tib and fib and fully dislocated my ankle in an accident. I have ended up with three pins and a set of band wiring to keep it all together! Since then it has been a long and slow road to recovery. I still haven’t regained all the mobility and functionality of my leg and it does still hurt every day but feel that I really need a goal to aim for to keep me motivated and to keep me moving forward and that is why I want to do my FIRST triathlon for the Jenson Button Trust and Help for Heroes.
I think that Help for Heroes is a great charity to back for a number of reasons. They provide practical direct support to those servicemen and women wounded in the line of duty and who have suffered in many cases far worse injuries than mine. Also as the granddaughter of an injured ex-service man I know first hand how vitally important that support is to the people involved.
I really hope that you will help me to keep motivated and donate now to help me reach my quiet modest fundraising target! J
