A 120-mile paddling campaign along Southeastern North Carolina to advocate for clean water, empower local communities, bring awareness of contamination and protect the most vital element of our lives: water.
Story
As anyone who knows me knows, my truest passion is the ocean. Protecting it, swimming in it, paddling in it, or just staring at it endlessly, my connection to the salty blue defines me.
That's why I am proud to take part in We The Water, a collaborative effort of everyday people who believe we should all have access to clean water. Over the next three years, we will paddle the entire North Carolina coast to raise awareness and funds for coastal issues.
The first 120-mile leg will kick off along our southeast coast in September 2022. Please join us on this journey, follow We The Water and visit nccoast.org/paddle to learn how you can help protect and restore our coast.

Since 1982, the North Carolina Coastal Federation has worked alongside communities to protect and restore the coast. Your support in 2022 will help restore oysters and living shorelines, protect water quality, reduce marine debris, and advocate for a healthy, sustainable coast.
