Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are a team of lawyers from Clyde & Co's Manchester office who are participating in Aspire's wheelchair basketball challenge on 6 January 2017 at Stanmore.

Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help to people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury; it can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire exists because there is currently no cure.

Every 8 hours someone is paralysed and our challenge will allow us to experience first hand just some of the difficulties faced by those with a Spinal Cord Injury in every day life.

We will be playing an inter-team wheelchair basketball game after some initial training from a basketball coach - may the best team win!

This is an extremely worthy cause and we are grateful for any donations.

Thanks very much.
