Story
I'm one of the Uveitis Link Nurses at Moorfields Eye Hospital. I am participating in this walk because I want to support the Birdshot Uveitis Society in their effort to raise funds for the Birdshot Biobank, via the Fight for Sight Charity Carrots Night Walk.
This is a new "walking" experience for me which I am looking forward to, another "Team Birdshot Challenge."
Please join me in this walk, or sponsor me if you are not able to undertake this challenge.
The Birdshot Biobank is very important to further the future development of research for this rare autoimmune eye condition. It is such a rare condition that currently it is difficult for researchers and scientists to find enough people to study. The Birdshot Biobank presents researchers with an important opportunity.
Personally I believe that it is important that research is done to understand the disease because only then will patients who are suffering from 'Birdshot' in this generation and those to come, be able to face a future of better, less toxic treatment which will preserve their vision.
I am willing to do the walk for you, if you are willing to sponsor me.
Please be a 'sport', dig deep you will find something there in the wallet, handbag or pocket to help me support this cause!
Your financial contribution is vital to the development of this important project which help all Birdshotters into the future.
