(The text below was written before Bill sadly passed away on 6th July 2014 - we continue our efforts in his memory and he lives on in our hearts)

Bill is my husband, my best friend, my soulmate.  He is also a Grampy, a Dad, a brother, and a friend. He is special to everyone.

To us, the people who love him so much, he is unique and irreplaceable; but sadly the disease which is stealing him from us too soon doesn't care. Cancer doesn't care that it is taking away the love of my life. Or that it might one day take the love of yours.

Luckily there are many wonderful and talented people who have made it their life's work to fight cancer and search for a cure. I want to help them by raising as much money as possible for Cancer Research Wales. So I've set myself 'Clare Bear's Big Challenge'.

That 'Big Challenge' includes everything from, annoying you with fundraising buckets through to a seriously scary trek around Peru next April.  I'm also busy organising a huge family fun day in Bridgend on this summer on 16 August, in The Brewery Field.  I'm anticipating a crowd of around two and a half thousand, so don't miss the fun and save the date now!

It would be amazing if you could support me so I can raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research Wales. 

Please give whatever you can afford and when we find that cure, we will know that my blisters and your money helped!
